I spent about two hours learning today. I am going crazy trying to learn all this new stuff and try to truly understand the old stuff as well--i studied economics so I'm not a stranger to statistics, however I still don't get a lot of stuff. I can't give up, no matter how frustrated I am. I teach home lessons and the children don't respect me one bit. They refuse to pay attention, they never think they are wrong, and today, I almost lost my mind. But do you want to know how much I get paid for the 2 hours I spend with them three times a day? I get paid 2,500 naira which is a little above one dollar at the moment with maybe about 8 or 9 cents. When the girl was refusing to respond after I yelled at her, I just internally berated myself--- I don't get paid enough for that shit. I have to endure it, because I am broke a fuck with no employable skills. Which is why I forced myself to learn even though I didn't feel like it |
